Homeschooling 101: A Free Curriculum

Today we're going to review Homeschooling101, a website dedicated to delivering free curriculum and resources for homeschooling families. Run and owned by Jenn, a homeschooling mom with 22 years of experience writing lesson plans for homeschool co-ops.

She's working on uploading her multitude of lesson plans onto her website, and she is offering access to everything for free. If you are searching for free printables, lesson plans, or unit studies, then Homeschooling101.net is a perfect option.

One resource that I've enjoyed exploring is the Math Medley. Some of my children have dyscalculia (they get it from me.... ) and so I'm constantly searching for ways to make mathematics interesting and engaging for everyone. Here's an excerpt from the website:

"There's a variety of songs, activities, crafts, and games to choose from for each basic function. In this course, we believe that every child learns uniquely. Therefore, we employ many teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles. From catchy songs to hands-on crafts, interactive games, and dynamic activities, we ensure that math is not only understood but also enjoyed."

This is a skills-based program, so there's an emphasis on building up basic skills, which is great for children who have struggles with retaining mathematical principles. One thing I love about curriculums that are neurodivergent friendly is that they work well for a wide variety of children, not just the neurodivergent. All children can benefit from friendly curriculum!

If you are looking for free homeschool resources, I highly recommend Homeschooling 101! She adds new material on a regular basis, so make sure you check back frequently.
